Hi my name is Pepper and this is my story: My owner abandoned me in a parking lot near the Long Beach Freeway. A good Samaritan took me to the local shelter for safety and to see is if anyone would claim me. After 2 weeks my time was up, I was about to be euthanized when my luck changed, that same man that rescued me came with this wife and saved my life. They could not keep me as they have 2 dogs already but they know I am a great dog that just needs a great forever home. I am smart, loving and loyal and I just need a safe place to rest my head and call my own. I am very well behaved, know basic commands, potty trained don't bark. Bug is about 1 year old and weighs 7 pounds. She is a tiny little girl with a big heart and a big personality. She has a look she will give that will melt your heart and get you to do anything she wants. Her favorite thing is to sit on your lap and watch tv. We are guessing on the breed, she certainly has Chihuahua in her but some other breed perhaps Yorkie or Pug. She is very cuddly, outgoing and playful. We are guessing on the breed but Maya is about 8 months old and a very cute little girl. She has a long body, long legs, poodle like fur. She is very soft and very pretty. She is great with dogs of all sizes and ages and she is good with cats. Her weight is about 20 pounds and she maybe full grown. She is such a love bug. She loves the cuddle and sleep on your lap. She is playful, today she was dragging a stuffed toy snake around the house that was 4 times bigger than she is. She can get used to other dogs and now rabbits. She is smart so I think she will learn fast. She loves to give kisses on the hand and is as sweet as can be. Phoebe does have a little anxiety and a bit shy - she will need an understanding patient family to help her build her confidence. Raelan is a 2 year old, mixed breed female dog. She looks like a schnauzer mixed with a Scottish Terrier. She is a gorgeous smoky black color with long hair and is about 22 lbs. Mia is a 6-7 yr old ratt terrier/chihuahua mix that loves to cuddle, sit on your lap, go on walks and car rides and spend time with her family. She is house trained and has no bad habits and will use a doggy door during daylight hours. Mia is okay around other dogs that are low energy and don't show too much interest in her but is also comfortable as the only pet as she loves her human family. Mia becomes very attached to her home and adopted family and shows tremendous affection for those she knows well, but she does have quite a bit of stranger anxiety when new people come into the home. She will make a wonderful companion for someone who does not have a lot of unfamiliar people in and out of their house but is looking for the company of a wonderful pet.

Finessa is a 7 yr old Kerry Blue Terrier female with lots of puppy energy and a big heart. She was a rescue from 3 years ago and has made lots of progress with obedience and leash skills. She knows all of her basic commands like sit, down, stay, up, over and leave it. If you tell her to go 'over there,' she will go to her dog bed and wait for treats. A big fan of squeaker toys, especially the Kong toys, and puzzles that make her find the food. She's great with people, and even blow driers, but she prefers to be the only dog in the home.

This adorable little boy is happy, playful and has been socialized with dogs of all sizes and ages. He is currently living in a foster home with lots of children and he loves them all.
