Katie is a spayed female German Shepherd / Lab mix puppy approximately 4 months old. She is vaccinated, microchipped, de-fleaed (Revolution), and de-wormed. Katie is a very friendly and happy puppy. She is great with kids, company, other dogs and cats. Katie loves to play and will be the perfect companion for an active family, perhaps one with another dog. She is happy to play fetch, wrestle with a toy, or roll over on her back for some gentle tussling. True to her breed, Katie is very smart and has already learned to sit and come when called. Because she is young and smart, she will need someone who has time for her and time for a basic obedience course or two. Katie has tons of potential in obedience training because of her intelligence and absolute willingness to please. She is happiest when being praised and will wiggle her entire body with joy and affection. Katie will need regular exercise to stay balanced, however, she is also a big baby and is happy to place all 25 pounds of herself in your lap if you want. We estimate Katie will grow to be a large dog, probably about 70 pounds or so. She would make an excellent family dog since she does so well with kids. She definitely has the happy go lucky personality of a Labrador, combined with the intelligence of a Shepherd.
