Shadow was born May 13 2005, by emergency caesarean, from a pregnant boxer mix mother dog we had rescued from the orange county animal shelter only 3 days earlier. He was one of 12 that had to be bottle fed around the clock, because his mother did not have enough milk to feed them. While the pups grew, they all had their special personalities. Shadow’s favorite thing to do was swim! He was an excellent swimmer. Now that he is back in our foster care, he has got in our pool again! He didn’t swim around yet though…soon to come I bet! Thank goodness Shadow was returned to us by his previous owner, who trained him well, and loved him, but could not keep him in the new environment he had to move to. Shadow is very obedient. He is potty trained. He comes when called. He will go lay down. He is good on a leash with a “gentle leader” type collar. He weighs about 70 lbs, and since he is so obedient, he will not jump on people or yourself, as long as you tell him no. He craves attention, and is learning fast that he won’t need to worry about that soon. Shadow is at Camp Bow and you are welcome to visit him anytime.
