WHILE IN THE CAGE AT THE SHELTER, POPPY MANAGED TO CRAWL UNDER HIS CAGE AND INTO THE NEIGHBORING CAGE AND PROCEEDED TO BECOME THE "TOY" OF A LARGE BREED DOG....... BUT POPPY SURVIVED, AND HAS LIVED TO TELL JUST HOW RESILIENT AND THANKFUL A DOG CAN BE. POPPY HAS FULLY RECOVERED FROM HIS INJURIES AND IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME. CURRENTLY IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME, POPPY HAS REALLY SHOWN HIS TRUE COLORS. HE IS PLAYFUL, FUN-LOVING, SWEET TOTALLY AFFECTIONATE AND QUITE CURIOUS. AMONG HIS ATTRIBUTES ARE THE FACT THAT HE IS TOTALLY HOUSEBROKEN, NOT MUCH OF A BARKER, IS GREAT WITH HUMANS AND IS FINE WITH OTHER SMALL DOGS. Stop, you just found the perfect dog. Gonzo gets along great with all dogs, cats and people of all ages. He is potty trained. Widget is a 4 yr. old, female Corgi mix. This little gal gets along with other dogs (cats to be determined) and is the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. Found wandering the streets its amazing that she even survived speeding cars, big dogs and the bad weather elements. Because Widget is a quiet and demure little dog, she would do best in a home with another well behaved dog. We will cat and kid test her too. But for now she's just a really cool little dog. Scout is an absolute sweetheart of a dog…she is very loving, obedient, already potty-trained (she came to us that way), great on a leash, not a big barker and loves people. Her favorite thing is just to cuddle up next to you wherever you are. Everyone who meets her on our walks is absolutely charmed by her. We would envision her doing really well in a home where someone is around most of the day or with a retired person who doesn’t have any other animals. Checkers is a head-turner with his unique Dalmatian-like coloring and surprisingly cute, friendly personality. He loves to greet everyone and dog that comes his way. His tail never stops wagging as he looks up at you with his big smile. He is extremely calm, confident, clever and curious. Checkers is packed with personality and is always happy. He is NOT a barker or the slightest bit shy. He loves walks, car rides, and grooming, endless affection and cuddle time. He is very fit with lots of energy but often enjoys quiet, snoozing time too. He gets along very well with dogs and cats and is not afraid of larger dogs. So, Checker’s would do great with other pets but also as an only dog.
